You've read the title correctly – no need to get your glasses. Inspired by its iconic model, American automaker Ford is launching its first 100% electric crossover, the lma Mustang Mach-E, a tribute to the Ford Mustang first produced in 1969.

Electric vehicle owners can't ignore the arrival of the American giant's electric SUV, which promises to be high performing, incredibly powerful and very sporty. That's what was revealed at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show.
First of all, this crossover is sleek with refined lines. It's equipped with an ultra-efficient electric motor thanks to extended-range batteries. With rear-wheel drive architecture, this 100% electric all-wheel drive SUV will get you where you want to go. Already, many experts and automotive columnists indicate that the Ford Mach-E SUV will outperform the Tesla in terms of travel range on the scenic roads of Quebec, Canada and the United States.
In fact, Ford engineers are not only promising a powerful electric model, the manufacturer already mentions a range of 475 kilometres (Mach-E Premium and California Route 1). The other versions of the Mach-E also offer a great number of impressive features. The limits have been surpassed through American ingenuity.
With a sumptuous interior and a very sporty silhouette, the Mach E SUV is powerful and efficient (especially the GT Performance version). In fact, images show a high-end electric vehicle that looks like a Mustang with an aerodynamic profile, but at a very competitive price. With eye-catching styling and the Ford Mustang taillights, the Mach-E perfectly illustrates Ford's intention to make an ecological shift. In this regard, the American automaker has announced a major plan to electrify its models starting in 2020 and over the next five years.
A 100% electric SUV with a choice of efficient battery options, the Ford Mach-E is leading the way in the high-performance electric crossover market. There's no doubt that the idea of rekindling the Mustang's iconic image in the form of an electric SUV is a great way to show that Ford is still listening to people, especially when they demand more performance, range and power in their electric vehicles.
